What Our Members Are Saying about the Real Gas Mileage of the Mazda Mazda2

Mazda Mazda2 Real Gas Mileage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2011 4dr Hatch 100-horsepower 1.5L I4
5-speed manual FWD
Combined city and highway always returns over 34mpg. However on strictly highway driving the mpg shoots up to above 38mpg. With a 11 gallon fuel tank this translates to well over 320 miles per tank of gas. see full Mazda Mazda2 review
2011 4dr Hatch 100-horsepower 1.5L I4
5-speed manual FWD
Between the manual transmission and the suspension, it's easy to drive the Mazda2 like a (tiny) racecar. Despite this and flooring it on every on ramp, I manage to get 30 MPG in mostly city driving. Highway trips net higher (35-38 MPG at 70-75 MPH), but a lot of uphill sections will drag the fuel economy down. Looking at fuelly.com, users are averaging 34 MPG. Not the best, but the Mazda2 achieves this with a much higher smiles-per-mile ratio than comparable B segment cars. I'm extremely satisfied with the gas mileage that I get, considering my driving style. see full Mazda Mazda2 review
Mazda Mazda2 Real Gas Mileage: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2011 4dr Hatch 100-horsepower 1.5L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
See postive comments for the cons. Fuel economy is OK, but for a car of this size and engine, I would have expected 2 more mpg than the average 32 that we get around town. see full Mazda Mazda2 review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Real Gas Mileage of the Chrysler Aspen

Chrysler Aspen Real Gas Mileage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2009 4dr SUV 376-horsepower 5.7L V8

24 l/100km in city (winter), 14.7 l/100 km on hwy (winter at -23 C) see full Chrysler Aspen review
Chrysler Aspen Real Gas Mileage: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2009 4dr SUV 376-horsepower 5.7L V8
5-speed automatic AWD w/low range
Hard on fuel around town but that's not why I bought it. Decent on the highyway, 14.7 l/100 km at 105 km/hr with the 3.92 rear end. see full Chrysler Aspen review
