Was towed in after hitting a pothole and blowing out the front driver's tire. Shop replaced runflat and did an alignment. While discussing with service writer, I mentioned stop/start had not been working and they offered to look at it. I suggested they test the aux battery, which turned out to be the issue. Stop/start worked properly when the car was returned.

Replaced original factory battery
57000 mi Replace Auxiliary Battery
10000 mi AC not cooling car. Dealer found AC hose leaking. Replaced, recharged. Still not cooling well. AC randomly goes to FULL HEAT in the middle of a Florida summer. Been to the shop THREE times now, still a problem hard drive squeals periodically Self-driving system and ECO start/stop were fighting with each other at red lights, causing the car to lurch forward and turn off brake lights. Not sure what the dealer did, but they actually managed to fix this.
18000 mi Not cooling sufficiently (still) AC goes to full heat automatically Hard drive squeaks -- replaced entire AV/NAV headend
25600 mi Stereo system rebooted / lost settings overnight Bluetooth audio keeps cutting out. Problem started after a software update. Now they've been replacing parts, but not fixed. Bluetooth worked fine until software update was done to car 360 Degree Cameras periodically won't come on. Replaced camera module 2x, replaced car stereo
47000 mi AC goes to full heat by itself...even when full cool is selected All 3 batteries (Aux/Cabin, Transmission, Starter) replaced to address random electrical glitches. Ultimately, the car's power supply is unstable. If we "run" the car connected to mains power off a stable power source, everything in the car works normally. When the batteries in the car are replaced, all of the systems will be stable for awhile. Once the batteries start to age, the electrical gremlins start up again. This car has 3 batteries: 1) Starter/Main, 2) Aux, 3) Transmission. The Starter battery is your traditional setup. Once the engine's on, it starts charging the Aux battery. Once Aux is up to voltage, it switches most of the loads over to the Aux battery. The Aux battery is what keeps everything going during the ECO Start/Stop functions and also isolates the electronics from the wild voltage swings when the engine restarts. So they assumed... If there's any ripples on the Aux bus, everything goes to pot. The design might have worked, but they're using far too small of an auxiliary battery (probably for weight savings), so the battery's taking a beating and the systems never accounted for the aux bus being unstable. They also kind of forgot about voltage drop vs. wire resistance. Audio keeps cutting out. Started when the radio was "updated" due to problems with the 360 cameras. Random electrical glitches in the car.
10100 mi Brake sensor detached from brake mechanism.

23600 mi Right side parking light parking light occasionally comes on for no reason. Xentry check completed-no problem found. Normal maintenance performed.
42000 mi Actually three things. One was the Auto Headlight feature failed sometimes. Lights would not go out in full sun r would come on in middle of the night in the garage. Has the early switch with an Off position. After much discussion with M-B, they said would not repair even though I had reported when car under extended warranty. Dealership said they would replace the switch but I would have to agree to hold them blameless if any other systems in car were affected. Also said to leave in Auto position and not use Off position. Decided not to do as it works most of the time. Actually there was supposedly a TSB out on this very issue. Second problem is second failure of Easy Entry/Exit feature for driver's seat. Not repaired due to cost. Third problem is AC puts out too much from upper vents even when set on 74 or so and vents 3/4 shut. NPF by dealer. Easy Entry/Exit feature quit working for second time. Did not get it repaired as it cost too much and dealer had to keep the car for two more days to get everything coordinated (computers).

the 1st mechanic I took it to, said a/c required $950 of repairs. Doubtful, I obtained sensor readings and interpretations (just punch in on internet). The readings indicated a failure on the intake valve. @2nd mechanic agreed, and fixed for $165! Its amazing how much info is available from sensors, but they do take some effort.
