Outer CV boot failed and was leaking grease. Replaced boot, repacked grease, and aligned.
Still vibrates, factory representative rode in it and he said all Nissans that have the blue "Pure Drive" badge have the same vibration live with it and he gave me a 100,000 mile Nissan gold Warranty.
I still have the rattle and fuel mileage
Mechanics were unable to duplicate problems we were having. The vibration is inconsistent. The day after we got home vibration began again for a few days but has not occurred since. Car ckd thoroughly no problems located.
Transmission replaced. We are very disappointed about replacing the transmission. This was reported to Nissan but Nissan would not do anything at all to help. We do not intend to ever purchase another Nissan.
Gear shifter was locked up. I could not shift out of park.
Shifter would not move out of park. Shifter assembly had to be replaced.
Car would not shift without using the override button. I was advised that the computer said I needed a new shifter $700 estimate. Seem ridiculous. I drive 30K a year never had a failure in the first 30K miles. Also never had a Nissan.

Heard buzzing noise. Thought it was bearings, but dealer says it might be the CVT. Told me to drive a couple of thoudsand miles more to see if the noise becomes louder and determine if it was the CVT or the wheel bearings.
Was driving at higway speed,about one hour of driving,was hot summer day, wanted to pass some vehicles, small hill, car lost power. Manage to get off hwy, came to stop light, car had hard time moving, eventually picked up speed at lower rpm Went to Nissan dealer, told them of the problrm Left car for 3 hours was told to come back after one hour of driving at hwy speed so they can measure tran temp and order cooling system from nissan
Made dessicion to get rid of car felt unsafe
Grinding Noise from Tranny after ECM /TCM update. Nissan decided to replace the tranny.
Warped Brake Rotors, Jerk and Noise from tranny
Shifter Assy locked in P. Replaced under warranty.
Transmission was failing and was completely replaced under Nissan's extended factory 10 Year / 120,000 Mile warranty.
Transmission was replaced under warranty. Transmission had developed a bearing whine and was slipping.
4th CVT transmission failure
Transmission failed, replaced with rebulit transmission. Dealer ordered correct transmission, but wrong one came in. So it took 8 days.
Rear differential bolts were loose causing a loud bang occasionally from the rear. Bolts were torqued to spec and no further noises.
Inner CV boot on passenger side was torn, axle replaced
Transmission was getting noisy,
Transmission was replaced under warranty, vehicle was in for service for 2 days for routine maintenance and to investigate the noisy transmission. It was determined that a new transmission would need to be oredered.
Replaced front passenger side axle, rear drive shaft. Car exhibited a low frequency humming noise that varied with speed.
CV joint dust boots on right front axle replaced with new.
Can't shift out of Park. Must use a pin to stick in shift lock to get it out. It was replaced before but acting up again. Fixed again.
CVT rattle which was not resolved by a previous TCM reflash recommended in a TSB. Reflash was still present in system so no additional repair could be made. Dealer states all make some noise.
CVT rattle...checked by dealer. Mo repair, they have referred it to Nissan

Paddle shifter cable anchor came lose, rubbing on the drive shaft. Delivery of the replacement part from Nissan took a week.
park lock solenoid failure. Unable to shift out of park. Had to override the lock to drive to dealer.
CVT Transmission violent and total failure. Transmission and axles damage beyond repair. The trans was covered under extended warrantee but the axles damage was not covered. One week plus in shop and there was no warning at all.
Noticed "crunching" sound when accel or decel at 10-40 mph. Took to dealer, and they ordered warranty transmission replacement immed.
Dealer did test drive. Unable to duplicate transmission noise, so no fix. Rattle is intermittent
Replace torn CV inner boot, passenger side.
cracked left front boot, leaking grease. Boot replaced along with seals at both ends of thr drive shaft.
gear shifter would not release from park position. Dealer ordered part and replaced shifter.
Dealer finally admitted something was wrong with the transmission and said it needed to be replaced, under warranty. I had heard the well-known Rogue CVT transmission rattle since I got the car at 30,000 miles.
Leaking transmission cooler. Replaced cooler and lines. The cooler was still covered under under extended warranty, I had to pay for the new lines. The parts were difficult to find and took several days.
Manufacturer defect from time of purchase. Faught with Nissan for 8 months until I received acknoledgement of the problem and CVT replaced. Nissan has poor customer service. See google or go to their NICO forum.
Right front axle assembly replaced. Car still has Vibration
Strange noise coming when driving forward, isolated to the Transfer Case and the CVT, ordered new Transfer Case to be installed.
Still have not fixed issue, despite transfer case replacement.
Entire transmission replaced.

CVT transmission was replaced on my 2008 Nissan Rogue AWD. Nissan has issued replacement with an updated transmission to Rogue owners complaining of grinding sounds and occassionaly lurching at low speeds.
Transmission failed again.
Original Transmission failed at 7,000 miles, replaced.
Failed again at 15,000 miles, replaced again.
another transmission issue. Poor shifting, NOT shifting causing high gear during low speeds causing valvetrain rattling
Replaced CVT at insistance of Nissan. They claimed that Rogues within a certain VIN range have been showing signs of the same problem--a "clicking" sound at slow speeds. I think they are trying to avoid a recall, but they did us good!
Grinding noise from CVT
Rubber boot had come loose and was hanging on driveshaft causing a very loud noise when driving vehicle.
Rattling noise from transmission when de-celerating.
Tear in CV boot. Replaced entire axel due to lower cost.

Rear Diff replaced for knocking noise during reverse.
CVT transmission stuck in high (6th) gear. Dealership had to order an entire new transmission.
Some pressure valve, probably for the transmission. There was a buzz coming from behind the dash.
CVT oil cooler valve cracked and hoses leaking. Replaced assembly and hoses.
