Saturn L-Series Real Gas Mileage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2003 4dr Sedan 182-horsepower 3.0L V6
4-speed automatic FWD
I am getting 22mpg around town when it is not winter and about 20mpg in winter, on the highway 26-27mpg @70mph, loaded for trips. see full Saturn L-Series review
2002 4dr Wagon 182-horsepower 3.0L V6
4-speed automatic FWD
I get at least 20 MPG, no matter what. see full Saturn L-Series review
2000 4dr Sedan 137-horsepower 2.2L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
Respectable: 22-24 MPG around town; 25-28 MPG mixed; 30-33 MPG hwy and long distance. see full Saturn L-Series review
Saturn L-Series Real Gas Mileage: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2003 4dr Sedan 182-horsepower 3.0L V6
4-speed automatic FWD
Average 25 miles per gallon seems quite low for this size car, even if it has a six cylinder engine. see full Saturn L-Series review
2000 4dr Sedan 182-horsepower 3.0L V6
4-speed automatic FWD
It...sucks. For a 190hp v6 I expected 23 or more. I get as low as 17 in the winter, and I max out at 25 at any time in the year all highway. With new plugs I am getting 21-22 around the suburbs, compared to 18/19 earlier. see full Saturn L-Series review
2000 4dr Wagon 182-horsepower 3.0L V6
4-speed automatic FWD
It is way too much fun to drive this car fast, and it will use a lot of fuel if you have a lead foot. Save the high revs for special occasions, and highway mileage can be close to 30 mpg. see full Saturn L-Series review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Real Gas Mileage of the Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Ford Explorer Sport Trac Real Gas Mileage: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2008 4dr SUT 292-horsepower 4.6L V8
6-speed automatic 4WD w/low range
99 Dodge Durango with 5.9 V8 got better fuel economy with same driving habits. Expected better with smaller V8 and 6 speed trans. see full Ford Explorer Sport Trac review
2008 4dr SUT 210-horsepower 4.0L V6
5-speed automatic 4WD w/low range
Terrible. I've owned fullsize pickups and SUV so I know what to expect. I've never seen the average mpg display read over 15mpg for the six months I've owned it. The main reason I bought this was the combination AWD and 4WD transfer case, but it doesn't have a 2 wheel drive position like my Sierra did. Boy do I miss that, I averaged 20 mpg per tank. see full Ford Explorer Sport Trac review
2007 4dr SUT 292-horsepower 4.6L V8
6-speed automatic 4WD w/low range
highway mileage is very good, better than my lighter V6 Ranger; 21mpg on the highway @ 75mph on flat road. City, with the remote start in winter, with the AWD kicking in, and lead foot acceleration nets me 13mpg. A light foot can get 15mpg city see full Ford Explorer Sport Trac review
2002 4dr SUT 203-horsepower 4.0L V6
5-speed automatic RWD
I think we all wish for 30 mpd-thats unrealistic when you have 10000+ lbs on the road when towing. see full Ford Explorer Sport Trac review
