2019 Hyundai Veloster N Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh Aside from the performance exhaust, the Veloster N is comfortably quiet inside. Unfortunately that exhaust drones a bit at highway speeds even in "normal" mode. I didn't mind it, but you might. Comparison vehicle: 2019 Volkswagen Jetta |
2014 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh The Cruze is quieter and more refined than the Jetta, and than most other compact sedans. Highway miles pass effortlessly, and around town the outside world is kept at bay. But the diesel engine doesn't do its part. It's noisier and less smooth than other current diesel engines, including... Comparison vehicle: 2014 Volkswagen Jetta |

There's still some road noise, especially on concrete, but it's nowhere near the levels in past Civics. You also won't hear tire impacts nearly as loudly as in the Jetta... 2007 Volkswagen Jetta Pros and Cons Member5736 It's a little noisy on rough roads. Not sure if it's the car's fault or the tires. |

2010 Volkswagen Jetta Pros and Cons Member4727 There is quite a bit of ride noise, to keep it down I have to make sure the tires are right at 35psi and I have the stereo up a bit and I have to stab the fast pedal. But boy the engine sounds nice. |

2004 Volkswagen Jetta Pros and Cons A member in Connecticut, United States Its a diesel motor- do I have to state the obvious? It is going to knock a little more than a gas engine, and you can hear the turbo whine- which frankly, I enjoy listening to. But dont expect the quietness that the nissan totes in its commercials. |
