78000 100 Cyl 8 misfire. Mysteriously since I lost a cylinder the "spooling" noise that they said was normal is gone. going to replace coil with manifolds. Cyl 8 had 0lbs of comp. due to valves not seating. Dealer replaced complete engine Truck would not move in any forward gear only reverse. Dealer replaced transmission.

82000 150 Power window regulator cable snapped on the driver's door(lasted 10K miles longer than the passenger side I guess). Window was stuck down. Repaired myself with a replacement part purchased from the dealer.
84000 5 All 4 power windows stopped working. Replaced master switch, but problem persisted. Ultimately tracked it down to a broken ground wire in the wire bundle that runs between the door and the truck. Repaired with crimp connectors.

65000 366 One of the engine's eight ignition coils had an intermittent short causing a misfire at times CEL came on. Faulty ignition coil (number eight cylinder) and spark plug were replced by dealer. I paid for repair in whole as the truck is out of warranty.
82000 250 Coil replaced on cylinder 1 to fix miss and check engine light. Coil replaced, problem persists, will be replacing fuel injector soon myself in attempt to repair.
100000 400 Replaced stock brake rotors because of warping. Probably due to 100,000 miles more than anything. Consider this normal and routine with this kind of part life.
140000 400 Brake lights and cruise control stopped working. Dealer parts man printed diagram and suggested switch behind brake pedal faulty. Purchased part, replaced myself, problem solved. Lower ball joints worn (originals from factory). Replaced by local tire store. Work completed in 2 hours.
154000 990 A/C compressor making fast ticking noise beginning in May/June, got louder as our Texas summer progressed. By end of August, local mechanic decided A/C compressor failing. Performance within spec, replaced compressor, dryer anyway.
163000 315 Alternator began failing on way home from hunting trip. Battery light illuminated occasionally. Made it home, checked alternator output, not within specs-voltage regulator bad. Replaced alternator with Motorcraft Part-all OK now.
205300 600 Replaced front struts due to an annoying squeak. Bushings on original struts were worn.....to be expected at this mileage.

216000 300 Alternator went bad. Truck was stopped, new battery placed in truck, this managed to get us home as we were only 19 miles from our house.
226000 306 too much fuel was getting in to the engine and causing it to smoke through the exhaust. So, when this happens, it is likely that the extra gas gets into the oil and that had to be changed. We did not have to replace the catalitic converter. Runs Great!
