Why the 2006 Ford Focus?

Price or payments

The Focus is a lot of car for the money compared to smaller cars that sell for similar prices. Incentives allow a sale price far below sticker.

Fuel economy

My Focus consistantly returns 28-31 MPG per gallon mixed driving conditions and much higher on highway trips.

Handling

The Focus is agile and secure handling for a cheap car.

Safety & braking

Supplemental airbags and ABS brakes are very cheap options.

Discounts & incentives

A good deal on a Focus is very easy to achieve.

Why Not the 2006 Ford Focus?

Materials & workmanship

Very cheap and ill fitting interior materials. Trim pieces misaligned, trim over door frames coming loose, plastic flashing on almost all surfaces. Needs more sound proofing.

Front seat support & comfort

Short seat track makes it tight for tall drivers and there is no "dead pedal" to rest your left foot on.

Quietness

Road and wind noise are pronounced and the engine can sound course at mid-throttle and sounds kind of like tin rattling at times at low speed.

Ride smoothness

The Focus can feel choppy on highway joints and the rear suspension crashes over pot holes.
