Why the 2010 Nissan Rogue?

Exterior styling

Exterior is one of the main reasons I chose this cute-ute over all others in its class. I like the masculine lines and color choices.

Interior styling

Meh. I have the SL with moonroof but no leather and no nav. I was going to put aftermarket leather in if I felt I would keep it longer. Interior is just OK. I do like the console, very roomy and lots of room for little things you want to have on hand.

Reliability & durability

Had it for over 2 1/2 years and 17000 miles and not one problem. Oil change, that's it. Very reliable so far.

Front seat support & comfort

Not great, not awful. Compared to my previous BMW 535i, it's awful, but for the class of vehicle it's OK for shorter distances, which is mostly what I use it for.

Fuel economy

Disappointed! I get around 22 total if I'm lucky. Even in highway driving, I never get near the EPA upper end. I do run the A/C almost all the time, since I live in South Florida, but compared to other vehicles I have, it still is pretty bad.

Why Not the 2010 Nissan Rogue?

Handling

Dull. Dull. Meh. I've learned that I don't like the CVT. Not nearly enough power and speed when accelerating. I've driven large SUVs which were much smoother and handled better. It feels perfectly safe in turns but not very responsive.

Driving position & visibility

Terrible visibility out back window. Almost didn't buy it because of this. I'm a good, experienced driver, so I work around it and haven't had a problem, but wouldn't want to put a newer driver in it without backup cam or sensor.
