Why the 2008 Subaru Outback?

Reliability & durability

Outbacks are ubiquitious in the Northwest. Everyone I have spoken with states that their Outbacks last forever and have no maintenance issues. With a years worth of driving and 8500 miles on my Subie, I agree totally. This car is a tank.

Brand reputation & image

Again, these cars are everywhere in the Northwest. This leads to wide availability of quality independent mechanics.

Ride smoothness

The suspension is superb on this vehicle. I do wish, though, that the rear end had a little tighter sway bar, but I know I could have one installed.
