High ratings from every car review I have read. Very high resale value and see used ones all the time with 150k+ miles - I should be able to own this 10+ years.
We were able to get the 4 cyl in the cash-for-clunkers deal. Got payments on a new 09 for less than I was planning on paying for a used vehicle. Dealer also gave free lifetime oil changes as well.
Amazing for an SUV - First 2 weeks we had it, went on 2 trips over 200 miles each mostly highway. Got over 27 MPG. There are some 4 cyl CARS that do not get that, let alone an SUV. We are saving $50/month just on gas compared to the minivan we traded in
The 09 is larger than the previous generation. We had actually been looking at a used Highlander, and this is not much smaller. There is a large storage area UNDER the rear cargo floor, which doubles the space. Can haul a lot of stuff!
My insurance premium is low due to the safety and anti-theft features. Depreciation? I see 5 year old RAVs going for $15-16k - That is what I PAID after rebate! I can drive it 5 years with minimal depreciation. No concern with negative equity
