507-horsepower 6.2L V8 7-speed shiftable automatic RWD

29500 mi At about 27k miles, it showed a C.E.L. It was a lean condition at idle caused by a vacuum leak. Could be a PCV valve or one of the emission related valves or hoses. Bringing it back on Oct 15 for final fix.
29000 mi

US $900
Replaced Breather valve, as part of the emission system. Had to remove intake manifold to replace. I've been told it's the ethanol gas that's causing the valve to fail. Replaced fuel sender unit. It was leaking fuel from the breather valve.
34000 mi NTSB investigation into the ongoing fuel regulator leaks in the the W211 E class. Mercedes did not make a recall but was forced extend fuel tank related warranty for 15 years(2023 for me). But they will not notify you. I found it on NTSB.

CEL with P0300, P0302, P0304 codes. Exhaust valve on cylinder 2 out of spec. confirmed with leak down test. Replaced Head. CEL with code P0305. Replaced all spark plugs. CEL off. Car runs fine now. (Since 0 miles, dealer maintained ).
51000 mi Idler pulleys that support serpentine belt.
52000 mi Fuel system odor. Certain parts related to gas tank changed.
27300 mi Brought in due to a slight knock or rattle for approximately 3-4 sec at start up. Dealer said it was a fuel knock. Installed a fuel injector cleaner, advised me to run 91 octane fuel (I always do) and to run it hard to clean out carbon.
29200 mi Engine still has slight knock or rattle upon cold startup. 2 days and 2 cold starts and tech could not duplicate. I will record noise since it is still making noise at this time. Not repaired.

Dealer inspected cylinder bores, and found scoring in multiple cylinders, New engine on order. Pays to keep good service records.
