Engine failed to start. It would not even crank. I managed to get it started, but all the warning lights were lit.
The dealer pulled the following codes : P0700 and P0890. They replaced the TCM power relay for a new upgraded relay. Works fine but confidence in the car took a hit.

Same as January 2018 repair : on a very cold day, car starts normally in the morning but fails to start after a short trip where the engine has not fully warmed. In fact the starter does not engage at all. The situation returned to normal after about 15 minutes.
Dealer replaced the same relay as last year’s and he added some sort of thermal insulation to the relay. Relay part number is the same as last year’s.
In other words, Subaru Canada does not really know how to fix the problem and they are improvising.
