Found engine was losing power and gas mileage was dropping. I found the PCV valve was dirty and full of carbon. I purchased a new one and replaced the PCV hose as well. Since the repair, the engine has more pep and gas mileage has increased. Subaru also sells a maintenance kit which includes Fuel Cleaner, Throttle Body Cleaner, and Top Internal Engine Cleaner. There is a separate tool that needs to be purchased separately which feeds the Top Internal Engine Cleaner into the engine. There is a Youtube Video from MrSubaru1387 which demonstrates how to use the maintenance kit. I will be performing this maintenance over the weekend. |
