I am using (per Ford) Regular 87 in it and it seems fine. I ran one tank of 93 Premium and did not notice a difference in performance or mileage. see full Ford Taurus review
2008	4dr Sedan 263-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed automatic FWD	It's got a 20 gallon tank and I basically never see 400 miles on the trip counter. 20mpg in mixed use (almost 40 mile round trip commute) has been something to get used to after living with a 4-cylinderMazda 6. In addition, when I hit 1/4 tank on the gas gauge, the range computer plummets to the point that I start planning a fuel stop within 50 miles of the 1/4 tank mark. 2001	4dr Sedan 168-horsepower 2.4L I5 5-speed automatic FWD	I've had this car for 13 years now and the mpg has always been very good. Being a European model (2.4 litre petrol auto - 170 bhp) it does not compare directly with any US models. I have the air con on 100% of the time. If I keep to the speed limit - 80 -85 on the speedo I get 35 mpg (English gallons!) without any problem. On a holiday trip to Portugal doing long distance driving and at slightly slower speeds - say 70 mph on the speedo - I managed 40 mpg over nearly 1,500 miles. In town stop start driving I will usually get 25 mpg. Impressive figures I think for a 13 year old vehicle weighing as much as it does. see full Volvo S80 review
