1. Hole in fuel intake line, causing a "dirt in fuel input" error 2. Wire splitter (?) had a short, causing vehicle control computer to go spastic, and all systems to malfunction. Check engine light came on the day after the car came back from the last trip. Turns out one of the hoses in the fuel system was not properly attached. They put in (another) new hose. NO REPAIR YET. My 2012 Ford Edge has developed a problem that is often reported on the 2013 Ford Edge. When the driver door is closed it often gives an alert saying the driver door is ajar/open. The car will remind you every time you start up from a stop which can become annoying as well as the doors can't be locked. The suggestion is to place the car in park and close the door. A lot of the times that doesn't work. We found if we keep it in drive and "crawl" down the driveway (under 5 mph) then open it while moving, it will delete the alert. If that doesn't work, I have found that if the passenger window is opened prior to the driver door being closed, the alert normally doesn't come on. All else fails we drive with the alarm reminding us :-( | ||
