The transmission has developed a bad "clunk" when accelerating from rolling start. If I am coasting up to a stop light and the light turns green the transmission will often clunk when I accelerate. There is a fairly severe lurch accompanying the noise. The best way I can describe this is it feels like a bad u-joint on a rear wheel drive car. The symptoms are very similar but since the Edge is FWD it shouldn't happen. The dealer re-flashed the transmission control module module with the latest software in an attempt to resolve this issue. It has improved some but still occurs. |

Loud road noise, thought it was alignment or tires needing to be rebalanced. No problems found. I purchased new tires thinking this would help. It did not. I now feel it is just the car. Very loud road noise. Very dissatisfied!!!!! |

Still having issues with the vehicle tracking off centre too easily. Discovered a SECOND Pirelli Scorpion Verde tire had separated. Need to return again so they can do another wheel alignment to correct adjustments that were done and fight for last two to be replaced as well (on the rear) as I have lost faith in this set of tires. The only issue I have have that is very annoying is some management, oversight of the problem should have been done to include all four tires as a control test to find the remedy quicker. No one seems to take charge anymore. It would have saved 6 trips to the dealer and 21 shop-days! Taken the joy away from this car; slowly trying to rekindle that.

Still battling Ford for the pulling now confirmed resulting from the remaining two tires that are on the rear of the vehicle.
Sep 2017 17980 mi |
Vehicle has been tracking, vibrating ever since purchased. Been chasing this from day one. Rather than simply replacing all four wheels to at least control and start from the ground up, they chased individual tires, pushing back all the time this was outrageous. WELL, after I put up with the scolding, side-glances and arguments it WAS discovered in fact the tires needed to be replaced. Pirelli Scorpions, NEVER again. overall 5 tires replaced, under warranty, but 44 days in the shop. The car still needs an alignment to stop the pull to the left as that was one of the fixes the dealer(s) tried to resolve the tracking

Still have steering tracking issues with the car. Can not get the vehicle to drive true without continual adjusting input, sometimes requiring 4-6 lbs force on the wheel. May just be the setup of the 20" wheel combo on the Titanium Edge. This is the fourth wheel alignment, 4 balances and 10 tires, but still have vibration off one of the new Pirelli Scorpion Verde tires that just is within 20lbs road force balancing tolerances. Neither Ford nor Pirelli will do more. Have actually had it with this vehicle. It is so enervating to drive over any distance. BTW, I do transport cars on the side for dealerships so have a great, broad idea of how cars drive. This one is one of the worst I have ever driven. Really unfortunate as I do like the vehicle overall. |
