Toyota consistently in top 5 JD Powers brands. Friends owning Toyota vehicles have had stellar performance. Important for a road car we plan to drive 10 yrs + more around town. I have had good pas luck w/Chrysler but 2012 cars like 200 not fit my needs. see full Toyota Camry review |

Toyota has a reputation for reliability and quality. Although there are a few squeaks and rattles in the car I feel that this car could last the next fifteen years and come out better than many of its competitors. see full Toyota Camry review |

I have owned a used Volvo 544, and a used VW Rabbit, both of which were disasters, and then bought, new, a Corolla which I gave away after 19 years when I bought the Camry. (It is still running.) That told me the reputation was welll-grounded. see full Toyota Camry review |

Hyundai Genesis Brand Reputation: Cons | ||

2009 | Objectively, the brand shouldn't matter. But many potential buyers won't even consider the Genesis because it's a Hyundai. Hyundai itself has been forced to accept this, and with the 2017s (available starting in June or July) will make Genesis a separate brand. With this change, the Genesis sedan will become the Genesis G80. The Genesis badge still won't have the prestige of an Audi's four rings, much less a BMW roundel or Mercedes-Benz star, but it should prove less of a deal-killer. There still won't be separate Genesis dealerships, so the showroom ambiance and level of service still won't be those of a full luxury brand. see full Hyundai Genesis review |

Our Austin area Hyundai dealership is not going convince anyone that they deal in luxury vehicles. While the dealership displays are comfortable and convenient, they are about a decade behind true luxury settings. And the service areas? Egads. Imagine a cross between urban Sears auto service and Walmart. Their service reps are a mixed bag: some quite professional and helpful, other not so much. I strongly suggest they take their service reps and go visit a Lexus dealer or at least an Acura dealer for a field trip. While they're at it, they should just steal some blueprints for design ideas. Hyundai vehicles are better than too many of the showrooms from which they are are sold. I liked the very straightforward sales process, and would willing see full Hyundai Genesis review |

I wanted to be one of the people to form the bandwagon, not jump on it later. In the early 1990s, Toyota created a serious luxury competitor, and is now one of the top 3 luxury mfrs. Hyundai is poised to out-Lexus, Lexus, and I want to be part of that. see full Hyundai Genesis review |
