Replaced seized idler pulley and belt. Recharged A/C. Probably should replace Schrader valve in near future. |

Original starter solenoid required rebuilding. Intermittant multiple key starts needed to get starter to engage. |
213700 mi | Replacement blend door actuator failed again. HVAC codes were retrieved from control panel. The replacement part was at this time prohibitively expensive. I removed the failed part and used an ultrathin 1950s open/boxed end wrench that fit the blend door shaft, moved the blend door to maximum cooling and taped it in place with T-Rex tape. I hate this kind of repair but for now it works. In Chrysler LH car circles, the frequent failure of the Dorman replacement part is a known issue. This winter, I will flip the blend door over to full heat. (such as it is) |
