On the highway with cruise control have managed to get about 30 mpg. In a mix of city and highway it gets 23 mpg. In city only it gets 18 mpg. Again, for AWD not bad, but not great. Although the Ford Ranger has an excellent and proven track record for reliability and the new vehicle pricing was very competitive, I could have purchased a larger more expensive truck with a V8 and more features and by this time I'm sure that I could have broken even if you consider how much the Ranger has cost me in additional fuel costs.
