Cam & Crank Sensors need to be replaced according to the diagnosis. The Chrysler Dealer did not have the parts in stock to fix at that time. We were traveling and could not stay overnight. Car was drive able and we made it home ok. Check engine light reappeared. Replaced cam & crank sensors at Firkins Chrysler Bradenton, FL Cost just short of four hundred dollars. Car runs perfect and gas mileage seems to be improving
Apr 2014

140800 mi

US $401
The check engine light came on requiring a trip to the dealer. They replaced a canister that is part of the emissions system (NVLD pump assembly part # 4891386-AD)
Mar 2015

161000 mi
I replaced the cam sensor myself in about half hour. Parts cost $62.95+tax at Chrysler Dealership. Labor estimate at Chrysler was $150 to $200. Cam sensors last about 40 thousand miles. Do not use aftermarket parts.
Dec 2015

174000 mi

US $490
TRANS COOLER REPLACED AS IT WAS LEAKING AT A FITTING AND COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. COST ALSO INCLUDES SHOP SUPPLIES, TRANS FLUID AND 7% SALES TAX.
Mar 2016

178000 mi

US $180
Previous New York repair of trans cooler was sloppy. Repair tech did not attach the cooling line to the frame. It rubbed against the crank pulley resulting in a trans fluid leak of 5 quarts. Repaired using steel patch line by Florida shop
Apr 2016

179300 mi

US $212
Inner tie rod bushings replaced
Nov 2016

194000 mi

US $231
Replaced engine cradle bushings that had disintegrated as the cradle was metal on metal with the frame
Mar 2017

199000 mi

US $1044
Replaced steering rack as it was making noise, probably could have driven it for many more miles. Also replaced rear brakes pads and turned the rotors after 120,000 miles!! The rear sway bar attaching bolts were replaced as they had broken at the frame. They lasted almost 200,000 miles, not to bad!!! Mark is a SAE certified mechanic and is very knowledgeable about both early and late model cars. Would recommend the shop to anyone.
Jun 2017

202000 mi

US $642
Second time replacing timing belt+water pump+misc parts originally repaired by Chrysler Dealer @130,630 on 10-10-13 along with trans cooler lines to radiator that were not properly secured to the frame during the earlier repair & were cut by crank pulley on 3-16-16 @ 178,500 @ a repair cost cost of $220.00 (very reasonable) at an SAE shop 1500 miles from home. This repair after only 70,807K by an SAE shop for a lot less money with MOPAR Parts was great.
Sep 2017

206347 mi

US $595
The car was in limp mode and would not go more than 30 to 35 MPH, I drove it to ABC Transmissions, they had it for two days, replaced: solenoid pack A606-D62420 $294.26, 4 qts of trans fluid $29.47, filter $10.60 and pan gasket $15.55, total parts cost $349.99, labor $206.94 plus tax of $38.93 for a total of $595.80. I don't mind paying the labor cost but the cost of the solenoid in my opinion was excessive.

Original starter solenoid required rebuilding. Intermittant multiple key starts needed to get starter to engage.
Feb 2017

207000 mi

US $92
Starter with the repaired solenoid had other problems, was replaced with a brand new unit made by the OEM cheaper than buying any rebuilt starter sold in typical parts stores.
May 2017

213000 mi
Original driver's interior door handle broke. Instead of replacing it with another overpriced part as I did on the passenger side, I drilled three holes into the two broken sections of the handle and fabricated a heavy gauge wire clip to join the two pieces together. Door now opens better than new and better than the new Dorman part that replaced the passenger side interior door handle.
Jun 2017

213700 mi
Replacement blend door actuator failed again. HVAC codes were retrieved from control panel. The replacement part was at this time prohibitively expensive. I removed the failed part and used an ultrathin 1950s open/boxed end wrench that fit the blend door shaft, moved the blend door to maximum cooling and taped it in place with T-Rex tape. I hate this kind of repair but for now it works. In Chrysler LH car circles, the frequent failure of the Dorman replacement part is a known issue. This winter, I will flip the blend door over to full heat. (such as it is)
Feb 2021

253000 mi

US $1199
replacement of original subframe bushings, lower control arms, rear trailing arms, strut rod bushings.

Replaced A/C blend door actuator and removed the interim repair previously noted. Removal and replacement of original driver side axle frozen to the transaxle and also to the hub. Particularly stubborn job. New axle and hub installed.

I had replaced the struts myself and when the car was taken in for an alignment, both tie rod adjusters were frozen. one was broken during the removal. Both were replaced. Replaced severely worn MacPherson struts. One bolt sheared off and it had to be removed and replaced with a new grade 8 bolt. Removal of sheared bolt added ridiculous amount of time to job.Cost listed is for parts.
