The car will remind you every time you start up from a stop which can become annoying as well as the doors can't be locked. The suggestion is to place the car in park and close the door. A lot of the times that doesn't work. We found if we keep it in drive and "crawl" down the driveway (under 5 mph) then open it while moving, it will delete the alert. If that doesn't work, I have found that if the passenger window is opened prior to the driver door being closed, the alert normally doesn't come on. All else fails we drive with the alarm reminding us :-(
