I lease a 2013 Honda Civic hybrid. I'd get another, but Honda has discontinued it for 2016. I get about 35 MPG driving in D.C. traffic. I'll need to get a new lease this year.
  • The only other Honda hybrids are the Accord (which is probably outside my price range)...

I've obsessivelty been comparing the IIHS death rate list, reliability indexes and other safety features/ratings of all cars. All I want is a remarkably safe car. Some cars have incredible safety ratings but do not predform well in real life scenarios.

I currently have a 2012 Accord EX manual. I enjoy the 5-speed and the overall ride/handling balance, plus its roominess. But the driver's seat is absolutely awful. I've had custom upholstery work done on it (twice) and have tried a number of different cushions. No dice. At my age (mid-30s)...

So far, have been considering Honda Accord or Civic. May consider other Japanese manufacturers. MAy also consider Chev. Impala. Am open to lots of possibilities.
