6 passenger vehicle

The Right Car for Me | TrueDelta

deanjohnsonmn

I am looking for a car that comfortably seats 3 teens, mom, dad and a dog. Not interested in a 3rd row. I'm trying to replace a Taurus Wagon which is growing old, but otherwise a perfect vehicle for us.

Priorities: Rear seat room & comfort / Cargo capacity / Fuel economy

Preferred Bodystyle(s): Wagon

Car Needs: Family transporter / Errands about town / Long trips / Towing or hauling

Need minimum of 6 seats

Will consider new cars only

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but excluding 3-row vehicles (SUVs and Minivans), there is no new 6-passenger vehicle on the market.

Could a 5-passenger vehicle with a large cargo area (for your pup) work? Otherwise, I can't see any option beyond something used (the 2013 Chevy Impala was the last car available with a front bench seat) or a 3-row SUV/CUV/Minivan of some kind.

As Jason said there are no 6 seat 2 row cars availabe in the US market. The only vehciles that have this are full size pickup trucks such as the Ram 2500.

I was in the same boat, replacing a wagon, and reluctantly got a Chrysler minivan. Didn't want the 3rd row and all the gadgets.

But 9 years later we love the minivan - it is much more versatile than the wagon ever was. We drop one or two of the middle row seats when we want more room (or need to put the dog crate in the van).

Check out the Chrysler Pacifica - very confortable and now gets better gas mileage than the older vans.
