Eagerly anticipating purchase of a 2015 Elio!

The Right Car for Me | TrueDelta

If you're not yet familiar with the revolutionary Elio, check it out here: http://www.eliomotors.com/

84 MPG, $6,800 cost and THEY finance - here's how: You must purchase fuel using their company issued credit card. For every purchase, the total is tripled - with the additional 2/3 comprising your payment. For example, you top up with fuel for $25: Your charge is $75, and $50 is applied toward your remaining loan balance! They're targeting a production rate of 250,000 per year (for the first couple of years), utilizing mainly off-the-shelf components - to keep production and service costs as low as possible - in the 3 million-square-foot former Hummer factory in Shreveport, Louisiana! Can't wait for mine to roll off the factory floor!

Priorities: Fuel economy / Safety & braking / Reliability & durability / Front seat support & comfort / Price or payments

Preferred Bodystyle(s): Coupe

Car Needs: Daily commuter / Errands about town / Long trips

Primary Driver(s): Senior driver

Need minimum of 2 seats

Will consider new cars only

Maximum price: US $ 6800

I'd like one too, but don't get your hopes up. They were supposed to start building product last year and haven't even got a running engine in production. All the prototypes have three cylinder Suzuki/Geo Metro motors installed.
Its a great idea, just don't think they have the money to succeed.

Promotion of a particular model isn't what this part of the site is about, but Elio needs all the help it can get, so I'll allow it :)

I believe they're unveiling an engine of their own soon.
