I currently drive a 2009 honda accord lx and it is not cutting for me anymore. I would love to go back to a luxury SUV. Ive owned a Range Rover before but unfortunately the problems were enough to drown in, and it ended up catching on fire due to some back Fuel pump work. I love the Volvo XC90s but im not going to go down the repair road again. ANd suggestions?

The Volvo XC90 is quite dated at this point, and one for under $15,000 might not be reliable. A new one is finally coming for the 2015 model year, but it'll be a lot more money.

The XC60 is newer, but probably not yet available used for $15,000.

2008 luxury brand crossovers available for $15,000 include:

Lincoln MKX - not outstanding in any way, but fairly reliable and owners seem to like them.

Infinti EX - nice performance, handling, and interior, but cramped interior

Acura RDX - sporty, but some people dislike the laggy turbo engine and/or find the ride overly firm

And not many of these are available for $15,000, so you might have to travel a bit.

I have owned two Infiniti FX's and both have been totally reliable. I am sure you can find something under $15k. They are sporty and luxurious. Ones with sport package will be a bit stiff. The EX is way too small, even less space than the Infiniti G sedan.

In a nationwide search I found no 2008 or newer FXs with under 75k miles for under $16,000. For an FX at that price he'd have to go older.
