I need something large enough to fit a growing family, and occasionally to fit adults in the back. Safety and reliability are important, though I'd also like to find something that's relatively fun to drive, if possible. Nothing too big or high off the ground. Low profile is good. The...

I currently drive a 94 BMW 525, which I've owned since 2002. 265k on the odo, maintenance hasn't been too bad, but it is time to replace it.

I had been looking at another BMW but my mechanic - who works solely on BMW - has suggested that...

Even mix of city and highway driving - more rear passenger seat room will be needed for the pair of vertically-expanding spawn; I want some power and decent handling. Driver two holds rear parking sensor (or rear camera) and passenger safety in high priority. A bit ( not too much)...

Looking for cross over SUV, comfortable on long trips, good fuel efficiency with exterior style. Key points to make or break car: high price, not comfortable, low MPG. Looked at Lexus RX350 and Audi Q5.

Make or Break a car for me: poor reliability, poor durability, poor safety, poor braking, poor front seats, poor slow powertraine performance, poor mileage and poor cargo space for family and dogs.

I LIKE A VERY QUIET CAR INSIDE TO DRIVE.Can have a good conversation and listen to good music.A Car...

I am at a loss as to what to look at. I have been thinking a Mazda CX5, but am unsure it has sufficient space. Basically, my wife is looking for third row seating for our kids, and their friends, but she is an unconfident driver, who is 5 feet...
  3 responses   New SUV time!

Right now I am leaning towards a new 4Runner limited or Grand Cherokee Limited. Love the look of both. I won't be doing much off roading.
3 responses   looking for a mid size suv, which will carry a family of 4 easily with about 3-4 luggages. It will also be used for daily commute for short distances when not going on family vacations.

Reliability, reliabilty, reliability and reliability. Oh btw, did I mention reliability ?
Everything else comes a very distant second.
Preferences are at least a v6 or even better a V8.
V8's last longer (hence the reliability).
I do NOT want a souped up turbo charged or supercharged engine.
Those engines...
4 responses   SUV for long highway drives, super quiet on coarse concrete interstate surface.
Member6499

Has to be very quiet at interstate speeds on coarse surface concrete. Comfortable seats for long drives. Room for 4 adults.
Reliabilty is secondary to these two items, I have other transportation.
3 responses   Should the Honda Pilot be written off due to VCM?
Member6146

I'm looking at 7 passenger SUVs. I love everything about the Honda Pilot, except for all the negative reviews of the VCM. I understand it's worse in cold, I live in Colorado. Also hear it gets worse with age, I'd like to keep it 10 years. So is VCM bad...

2 responses   2004 Acura MDX vs. 2004 Honda Pilot
Member6566

My number one question is, based on your experience with an Acura MDX and a Honda Pliot, does the Acura really cost a lot more for maintenance than the Honda? The Finance company I'm working with tries to deter people from buying "luxury" vehicles because they do cost more to...

I'm looking for something reliable and fun to drive. Most days it will be driven 15 mintues to and from work and dropping off the kid(s) at daycare, but sometimes it will be used to visit family in Wisconsin (winter driving) and Arizona (far away). We want lots of space...

Looking for advice and recommendations around replacing my 2004 BMW X5 4.4i. I've owned this car for about 8 years, and have been quite happy with it most of the time. Liked the handling, responsiveness, and panoramic sunroof the best as its features. Didn't particularly care for the higher cost...
