Reliable SUV

For reliability (in the title but not your priorities), Minis can be hit and miss. But they are stylish and fun to drive.

If you only need something the size of the Countryman, then Nissan also offers the Juke. The styling is...different. But fun to drive and with reliability less iffy than the Mini.

It's hard to beat a Honda CR-V for reliability and cost of ownership. I don't like the styling or how it handles. Your opinion may differ.

I like nearly everything about the Mazda CX-5 and Subaru Forester. Either should be very reliable and fuel-efficient and hold its value pretty well. The Mazda might be a little louder than the others, while the Forester is nothing special to look at. Also, past Subarus sometimes get a bit troublesome after 100k miles. Far too soon if this will be the case with the latest ones.

It's not yet clear how reliable the new Rogue will be. Nissan has been having some trouble with its latest generation of CVT (transmission). And it probably won't hold its value as well as the other Japanese models listed here. But if you like how it looks and drives more than the others, it could still be the best one for you.
