Reliable, fun to drive awd suv

The Right Car for Me | TrueDelta

Mainly checking out SUVs due to awd and good visibility for driver. Currently have 2005 Ford 500 Limited with awd, the luxury trim for this semi-euro sedan. I do enjoy my creature comforts, and a great stereo system. My previous personal car was a 1999 Toyota Avalon Platinum Edition with fwd and all the bells and whistles. Loved the smooth powerful V6, great handling, comfortable seats and bulletproof reliabiity. Tired of having my view of the road blocked by taller suvs and pickup trucks. I like to see ahead when I'm driving- and that's the main reason I'm considering suvs, but Hoping to broaden my horizons. Intrigued by electric vehicles, but would consider gas powered if the price is really cheaper. Like the idea of a car that will run for 200-300K miles with few problems or major repairs, in which case I could easily consider a vehicle with 100K plus miles on it if it was well kept.Haven't started test driving anything yet. Would love to get your thoughts based on my answers above.
