Sporty hauler

The Right Car for Me | TrueDelta

Audi SQ5, Porsche Macan S are my top choices unless my wife opts to trade her Mercedes CLS500 for a grand family hauler. In that case, I'll be looking at an Audi S5. The new Mercedes CClass 350 AWD maybe a consideration. I'd also consider A sporty diesel should one hit the market might be considered. I also checked hybrid only because I'd like a 918 Porsche!

I won't be getting seat time in an SQ5 until May, and don't have a Macan scheduled yet. I've been hearing great things about the Porsche, though.

Sportiest diesel would be an A7 TDI, which might check off all your boxes. I'll also be driving one of these in May, but have driven both the A7 3.0T and a Q5 TDI. The engine from the latter in the former should be a good fit (though the gas 3.0T is even stronger and quite efficient considering this).

Plans have now changed since the wife is willing to part with her CLS500. She has driven, as have I, the Mercedes GLA 45 AMG and it looks like we might be taking a trip to Germany in the spring for European delivery. This is one terrific hot hatch leaving even the Macan Turbo on the track! If this happens, we'll likely trade/sell the CLS and the Audi Q5 retaining my beloved Mini with its new John Cooper Works upgrade.
