Wife's Next SUV

The Right Car for Me | TrueDelta

Clems1Son

My wife is in themarket for a new car. Her main concerns

  1. Ride height. She currently drives a Pilot
  2. leather.
  3. Cargo Space
  4. Reliability
  5. Car Tech (blue tooth, nav etc)
Added plus would be ventilated seats.

Some we are looking at are the

Dodge Durango Toyota Highlander Hyundai Sante Fe

Thoughts on any of the above would be much appreciated.

Priorities: Safety & braking / Interior styling / Fuel economy

Need minimum of 5 seats

Will consider both new and used cars
Maximum mileage: 30000
Maximum age: 2 years

The 2016 Buick Envision Premium l or ll will be in the low $30's with about 10,000 miles or less as advertised on cars.com. The Premium ll includes NAV, cooled front seats(not just vented), articulating HID headlights with auto high beam, heatedbfrontnand rear seats, HUD (heads up display) to name a few. Here is a complete break down:

The standard tri-zone climate control and twin clutch AWD are unmatched at sub-$50,000 range.

If you don't need more than 5 passengers (or 2 rows), definitely don't get a three row SUV. They generally cost more, consume more gas, have less cargo space, and will not be as enjoyable to drive.

Also, what's your budget?

I wouldn't go with the Dodge Durango. It's good for towing and it's fast, but reliability is a weak point like most Chrysler-Fiat cars. It's one of the most old-feeling entries in the segment.

The Hyundai Santa Fe is better, but it's also an older outdated SUV. It is a great value though because you can get many features for the price.

Toyota Highlander is the best one you mentioned. It's smaller than the other two, but more reliable and up-to-date with interior tech.

I'm thinking you would like a small CUV more because it gives you a similar driving position but is easier to park and gets better MPGs. Drive the 2017/2018 Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5, and Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. The CR-V has the most cargo space. The CR-V and CX-5 have the best interiors
