The TL is a larger car, and handles like one. Of them, the TL SH-AWD handles the best.
Acura offers a car closer in size to the BMW, the TSX, but when equipped with a V6 it's handling is just so-so.
The 2015 TLX replaced both of those cars, and is in between them in size.
The Japanese cars that handle most like the BMW are the Infiniti Q40 (called the G37 through 2013), Infiniti Q50 (which was supposed to replace the G37), and Lexus IS (especially the 2014-2015).
Better handling than any of them is the Cadillac ATS, but long-term reliability remains to be seen.
The best overall car in the class is probably the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. It's less sporty than the others, but has a very upscale look and feel. It's brand new, so reliability is unknown. The previous C-Class has been pretty good.
The BMW 335i was chewing through fuel pumps for a while, but they seem to have sorted that out.
