AWD, fuel-efficient but powerful, daily commuter

The Right Car for Me | TrueDelta

Member6294

Family of four plus two large dogs. AWD mandatory for snow, rain and inclement weather, not off-road. Love ther versatility of pickups however with full crew cab for family, they start getting pricey and not as fuel efficient, and in day to day driving, handling of pickups is a negative.

Reliability is key, followed by safety, performance (handling, acceleration).

Thanks for reply.

I drove a Rav4 and was uninspired, and my sister has a 2013 which she is very unhappy with, so that one is out for right now.

Not certain at all, but few seemed concerned with reliability of the Escape, although it is not completely out of contention.

Our family is a big Honda/Acura supporter: Legend, TL, Accord, Civic, Odyssey over the years. Honda generator and lawnmower engine in garage! That said, driving a Civic right now and feel the CRV is just a lifted Civic. The Pilot is too large and boxy.Actually considered the Ridgeline instead of Pilot, but both are probably bigger than I want right now.
