Fiat 500. Inexpensive new car that is easy to get into and out of due to tall seats, fun and easy to drive and park anywhere, rear seats fold down to accomodate dogs, groceries, bikes,... rear seat are adequate for adults and plenty for grand kids. it gets great gas mileage and service is relatively cheap. The engine is built in Detroit, the body in europe and its assembled in Mexico. Its sold around the world so parts availability is ubiquitous. Insurance is relatively cheap. And its a cute little Italian car. If you're an environmentalist, there is an electric version if you live in California. And if you want sportier, then the turbo Abarth is less than 25000. Something to consider.

Hmm, let's see - do I get the Camry, or the Camry? The ad on TV is catchy, but reliability, utility, fuel mileage and low service cost history says it all. My mom, at 93 and sharp as a 40 year old, jokes that she will be buried in one. The base model for those who do not want all the fancy "gadgets" are a perfect fit. If you like a few bells and whistles, then an upgrade to a different model will work.

Just look around you while you drive and you will start noticing all the Camry's on the road. Properly maintained, you will never be let down, or stranded.

I really like the second-generation Kia Soul, 2014 and up. Easier to get into and out of than a sedan, handy cargo area, and a smoother, quieter ride than the original. Plus a long warranty.
