I'm going to recommend two vehicles that I would actually buy for myself-

2012-2014 Acura TSX Sport Wagon

2014-2015 Mazda CX-5 (Touring or Grand Touring)

Both have good handling, decent acceleration, high-quality inside and out and should be very reliable. The Acura's interior is a bit nicer but the Mazda's versatility and cargo room make it very attractive.

I like the idea of the TSX wagon.

The Mazda has been very popular with site members.

Reliability has been on the edge of okay for the Ford. Not bad, but not especially good, either.

It sounds like the Forester as well as the Outback is worth a look among Subarus. Both are popular with site members. One concern is that some owners report oil consumption issues with the latest Subaru engines (2011 and up Forester, 2013 and up Outback), probably because of low-tension rings to boost fuel economy. These reports seem less common the further you get from the 2011 introduction of this engine.

Have you driven any of these? If not, drive them and see what you think of seat comfort. I'm interested in your impressions.
