Hello guys
Thanks for all your input, I truly appreciate it. However I just got an offer I could not refuse. I have been researching for some time hoping to find a low mileage used car with great reliability for around 9000 and the offer i saw I just could not pass up. It so happens in my research I had come accross the Mitsubishi Miraget which I knew from way back when I had one back in the 80s, (great car by the way) and at that time, and even recently, Consumer Reports did have them as very reliable. Well I guess they are not really large sellers because truedelta does not list their frequency of repair. I had ignored the car and was all set on looking for the Hpmda Fit, or Civic and either the Yaris or the Corolla or perhaps, if i could get a low mileage one, a Mazda 2. However, it so happens that Mitsubishi came out with 3500 rebate on the Mirage and together with another offer I qualified for I was getting 4000 off list!! Still i wanted to more info (am anal about car reliability) and I looked up every possible review on these. What i found out was that the professional reviews on them were real bad as, far as performance anyway, but all the owners, well over 85% of them anyway, loved it. So I went out and rented one and drove it for almost a week and guess what? I now have a new car for my wife! I will keep you guys posted on the reliability and durability of the Mirage, but I already can tell you two things its a blast to drive if you like 40miles per gallon plus, great maneuverability and parking on a dime. Sure its not a race car or even a four with pop, like the Kia Forte my wife leased, but it keeps up nicely with traffic and fits the way my wife drives The other thing I know is that you can beat this deal! How about a Brand new car (26 miles on the odometer) for $8995! Just can't beat that price! If any of you are inthe market hurry up the rebate ends on 5/2.
Thanks
Ron
