Reliable small to midsize Truck or SUV that can offroad and haul

The Right Car for Me | TrueDelta

I currently have a Jeep Liberty and am looking for a vehicle with similar capabilities. I am more interested in trucks but would also go with another SUV. Here are the things I look for most:

  • Reliability/longevity
  • Offroad capabilities (Good clearance, offroad package, 4-High/4-Low, skid plates, ect)
  • Towing package (preferably tow capacity of at least 5,000 lbs)
  • Crew Cab
  • Decent size bed
  • Gas
  • Smaller midsize preferable
  • Daily Driver so need accetable gas mileage
  • Need used for affordability

Priorities: Reliability & durability / Off-road capability / Towing

Need minimum of 5 seats

Will consider both new and used cars
Maximum mileage: 80000
Maximum age: 8 years

For a reliable midsize pickup, nothing beats the Toyota Tacoma. A Nissan Frontier is likely to have more problems as it ages, but should also cost less to buy for a given model year.

The Traverse, Acafia, and Enclave should solve your towing duties of 5,000 lbs., while giving plenty of interior space, acceptable fuel economy compared to a pickup, safety features not offered on pickups or older suvs.
