The Right Car for Me | TrueDelta

lasensenig

Looked at Toyata Sienna, Kia Sedona, Chysler T&C, Dodge Caravan. Seating for 8 would be preferable, and I definitely want a split rear seat, ideally a 60/40 split.

Car Needs: Family transporter

Need minimum of 7 seats

Will consider both new and used cars

The Toyota will likely be the most reliable all else being equal, but you can probably buy a much newer Chrylser or Dodge within your price limit. I like the Chrysler and Dodge much better after their 2011 update, but imagine those are still too expensive. The 2008-2010 chew through brake pads.

We don't have much reliability data on the Sedona. What we do have indicates iffy reliability.

For eight-passenger seating within your budget the Toyota might be your only option. The Kia has never offered it, and the Chrysler only gained this option for 2017.

You don't mention the Honda Odyssey. It has been available with eight-passenger seating, but I'm not sure for how long.

There are a few Chevy Traverse"s for sale at $8,000 with less than 150,000 miles but have 8 seats and the most cargo holding area behind 3rd of all crossovers.
