daily driver with room for a car seat

The Right Car for Me | TrueDelta

Member4460

I have a 1 year old, our only child, and my current car cannot accomodate a car seat. it worked,( kinda) with the small car seat (newborn/infant carrier) but now that he is a toddler the bigger car seat cannot fit in my mustang convertible.

the car has just become impractical. I have changed jobs so I commute further, and it cannot hanlde the car seat. So, I'm looking to replace it with a sedan/wagon/x-over/??? that is better suited for commuting, as well as occasionally family errands.

I've been looking at fusion, altima(or maxima), hyundai genesis,

mini countryman was also recommended to me.

want to keep it under $12k and under 90,000 miles, and low maintenance/repair cost.

if the car doesn't have bluetooth/sirius capabilities, then the addon needs to be in the budget

Priorities: Powertrain performance / Reliability & durability / Warranty, maintenance cost

Preferred Bodystyle(s): Sedan / Hatch / Wagon / SUV

Car Needs: Daily commuter / Family transporter / Errands about town / Fun toy

Need minimum of 4 seats

Will consider both new and used cars
Maximum mileage: 80000
Maximum age: 6 years

Maximum price: US $ 11000

For $11k you can get a newer Fusion than you can other reliable midsize sedans, so I think that's the way to go.

For best fuel economy short of the hybrid, get one with the four-cylinder. For maximum performance, get the Sport with a 3.5-liter V6. They also offered the car with a 3.0-liter V6, but then it's neither quick nor economical.
