In our reliability stats, the repair frequency for the 2012s has been edging higher and higher. It used to be fairly low, as it has been recently for the 2013 and 2014.

In general, with German luxury cars I only recommend them if 1) they're under warranty 2) you're willing and able to perform most repairs yourself or 3) you don't mind an expensive repair every year or two (certainly not "all the time," though).

For ride comfort, pay attention to whether the car has the regular or sport suspension, and the tire size (lower profile will ride more firmly).

I own a 2014 A6 with the supercharged v6. The Audi has been a very good car to date. It is really quick, rides well, and handles like it is on rails. The audi connect technology can be a bit intimidating at first, but works really well. My last car was a new Caddy CTS AWD premium and the Audi is a lot more car. I would not own this car without a factory warranty. Mine has been flawless, but repairs are extremely expensive. My next will probably be a used, low mileage CPO, A8.
