Middle aged , Sedan with some kick and great handling. Comfortable as well

The Right Car for Me | TrueDelta

Member4500

I have a Jetta TDI diesel and love this car. It handles well is cheap to maintain and a tank. The seats are not comforatble even though I have the leather seats. The Passat is more slugish and it would not be my first choice.

Looked at WRX, bmw 328d, g37x, (not Audi's they break down ).
Very confused. So hugging my Jetta in the meantime.

Any input for all the gang here would be interesting.

What did you think about the cars you've looked at so far? Knowing your likes and dislikes with those would help other members provide more specific recommendations.

Seat comfort varies a lot from person to person. For that aspect I recommend getting as much seat time as possible in the top contenders.

The G37X handles pretty well, but the ride can be firm and fuel economy is so-so at best.

I wouldn't expect the WRX to score well for comfort. Among Subarus, the Legacy would be better for that.

The Mazda6 is definitely worth a look. Or, for more agile handling, the smaller Mazda3 with the same 2.5-liter engine (most have the weaker 2.0).

Lastly, the Ford Fusion's reliability has been good rather than great, and it's not as fuel-efficient as the Mazda, but it feels like a more substantial car and has very good seats (for me at least).
