I can think of three cars that fit your parameters-

2008-2010 Lexus IS 250/350- great drive, rock-solid reliable, but very tight on interior space (especially back seat), based on interior space it actually falls into the subcompact category.

2008-2011 Acura TSX- 2008 was the final year for the first generation but it is still a fantastic car; the 2009-newer are slightly larger and more refined and starting in 2010, you could choose between the standard 2.4L I-4 and 3.5L V6 (201hp vs. 280hp). If rear seat room legroom is important, this is a substantial increase compared to the Lexus IS (about 4in more).

2008 Acura TL- the final year of the second generation TL (2004-2008) and the final year before they put the 'beak' on the front; all of the TSX virtues apply and it has a standard 258hp 3.2L V6; it is also the most refined and smooth riding/driving of these three cars.

Reliabile, luxury, and under $15k tends to be a matter of "pick any two."

Jason's suggestions are all good ones. with decreasing reliable from top to bottom.

My go-to here is usually the older Infiniti G37--less complicated than the Q50.

Possibly a 2010 or later Hyundai Genesis. Cars with problems usually have the package that includes nav and a power-adjustable steering column. Get a car without these and it should be reliable. The suspension was revised for a better ride in 2012, I think.

Just bought a 2007 Infinity M35x myself. I looked at each of the cars you mentioned before settling on an Infinity M. This car was one of the first to get radar cruise control and has AWD and I really like the ride as well. The A6 will have a slightly nicer interior, but I believe the M will be more reliable than any of the german cars and have a nicer interior than the lexus or the honda/acura.

Under $15,000 luxury sedan go drive a Buick Verano 2.0T or a Cadillac ATS 2.0T.
