The Right Car for Me | TrueDelta

Member6195

luxury mid size suv, good to have a 3rd row of seats, but not a deal breaker. I live in Hawaii on the Big Island so the vehicle must be able to go on minor off road excursions and have decent gas mileage (14-17 city).

My other vehicle is a BMW x5 2007.

Looking to get rid of my 325xi wagon, maybe purchase something 2Q 15.

Car Needs: Family transporter

Will consider both new and used cars
Maximum mileage: 75000
Maximum age: 7 years

Maximum price: US $ 15000

By "minor off road" do you mean unpaved roads, or actually off the road? Something the 325ix couldn't handle, or only a similar level of capability?

An Acura MDX might be the best fit.

The Volvo XC90 has a third-row seat, but is a very old design with iffy reliability.

If you want a low-range and a luxury brand isn't a must, maybe a Ford Explorer or Nissan Pathfinder. Reliability on either is so-so (but less likely to be a horror story than the Volvo), and neither handles anything like a BMW.

There are many more options without a third-row seat.
