The Right Car for Me | TrueDelta

Circas

Something that is fast but also reliable. I do a lot of my own work on my cars such as changing brakes, oil, sway link bars, anything that is not to difficult and I can learn fast or watch a video on. An example of what I been looking at is a Honda Accord V6 Touring. Something that looks sharp even if it will need maybe some new rims to help it shine. 4 Doors would be nice but if only offered with 2 than that is fine.

For a very quick car with a low total cost of ownership, it's hard to beat the Accord V6. The related Acura TLX has been more troublesome.

A Camry V6 is about as quick, and should be very reliable, but doesn't drive as well as the Accord.

I'd suggest a Lexus IS 350 if you didn't need a large rear seat, but it probably exceeds your price limit.

While 50K is a solid chunk of money, if you want truely fast you really don't get reliable with it..
You can probably find a stage 2 or stage 3 Roush Mustang, which is what i would classify as Fast, or boarderline Very fast.. But they aren't rock stars on reliability..

Where a Lexus will be very reliable, but not really fast.. "quick yes" but not what i would call fast..

Typically i would suggest spending 20K on a cheap reliable daily driver, and purchase a used 09+ roush stage 3 or 429R mustang, they are still 500+ HP and can be found for 25K or less with less than 20K miles on them.. which is cheap, and fast.. and for the purpose of a toy, reliable..

The only thing i can think of that might be fast to some people is the WRX STI which is reliable, relatively cheap, and pretty quick...

The Accord V6 is a great choice. Tou probably won't need better wheels because they already look really good. The Camry V6 is more realiable than the Accord and is also very fast, but isn't very fun to drive. The Accord has the junk infotainment system and the Camry has the less troublesome Entune, which I like in my Prius. The WRX is extremely unreliable. The Kia Optima, while not very fast, is a very practical, luxurious midsize with a great value.
