Do you need three rows, or two rows is enough?
Among vehicles with three rows, the Highlander is probably the most reliable, and is pretty comfortable. But not very sporty. The 2014 is nicer than the previous generation.
The 4Runner is very reliable, but isn't as quick, as smooth-riding, or as fuel efficient as the Highlander. Unless you need to go off-road, the Highlander is better.
The 2013 and newer Hyundai Santa Fe drives more like a car, but not everyone likes how it rides. It's worth a look. If you can get by with less space, Kia offers the Sorento.
For a bit more luxury and sportiness, the Acura MDX is worth a look. The 2014 drives especially well, but has been a little troublesome in its first model year. The 2015 will probably be less glitchy. A base 2015 MDX will be right around your maximum.
