Toyota Camry, Honda Accord or maybe Sonata. They would all do the job, although the Accord is probably a little more fun to drive, the Camry is the perfect appliance car and most likely the cheapest to maintain, the Sonata will probably be cheaper with a little less reliability.

I'd probably recommend the Accord based on the fact that it's reliable, looks better than the Camry, and it's more fun to drive. You might also want to check out the Ford Fusion. 2011 looks like a good year for a used one.

For the Fusion, both 2011 and 2012 would be good years. The suspension is a bit firmer than the others, which helps handling but might harm the ride.

The Sonata has the longest standard warranty. Same for the related Kia Optima.

You can't really go wrong with an Accord. It will cost more than the others, all else being equal, but will also hold its value better.

A dark horse could be the Mazda6. The 2009-2013 car received very little attention, so it might be possible to score a deal on one. We have no reliability data on the 2010-2013 because so few were sold.

Among the cars suggested here, I'd go with the one you like driving the most. Have you driven any of them? What did you think?

If the other passengers are tall, you will need a larger sedan. 3 in-the-back of any of the previous will be tight, especially behind your seat. Tauras comes to mind.
