Many people, including my wife, have told me I should add a blog to TrueDelta. But I avoided taking this step. I didn’t think I had the time. (I probably don’t have the time.) And with so many automotive blogs out there already, how could there possibly be a need for yet another one?
But then I ran into Jody DeVere at the auto show. Specifically, she was checking out the front passenger seat of the new Cadillac CTS at the same time I happened to be sampling the driver’s seat. Jody is president of AskPatty.com, a site that provides car buying advice to women and teaches car dealerships how to be “female friendly.”
Ask Patty has been getting quite a few mentions on blogs and in the press. So, after the show I contacted Jody, asking for tips on how to better grow TrueDelta. She gave me a tremendous amount of great advice. Of her suggestions, she stressed that the most important was to start a blog–couldn’t believe I didn’t already have one. Just in case some people out there want to hear my random daily thoughts. Or just get a better sense of what strain of insanity leads someone to create a site like TrueDelta.
Also, as friendly as bloggers have been towards me, I’ve been told that they’d like me even more if I was one of them.
So, consider me assimilated. Welcome to TrueDelta’s new blog.
