GM has made just about everything standard on the Chevrolet SS, including $5,500 of stuff not available on the late Pontiac G8 (essentially the pre-refresh version of the same car). But the $46,170 SS starts $6,175 higher than the top-of-the-line G8 GXP (assuming a $1,700 gas guzzler tax). Pontiac respected the $40,000 barrier. Chevrolet has not.
A wash between the higher price and extra features, or a bunch of stuff many people shopping for a large, powerful RWD sedan don’t want and won’t gladly pay the price for?
